Argyll Coffee Festival - full programme
Argyll Coffee Festival - full programme
September 10, 2024

We’ve finalised the programme for the first ever Argyll Coffee Festival and we are so excited to share it with you. It's on the 28th and 29th September at the Corran Halls in Oban - you do not want to miss out!

Just to recap, we decided that it was time to celebrate Argyll’s thriving coffee scene. So earlier in the year we gathered our Argyll coffee friends and coffee partners from further afield and we hatched a plan for a mini coffee festival.

The Argyll Food Festival, which took place for the first time last year in Oban at the Corran Halls, was such a huge success that we thought we could hitch a ride! This year, we’re taking over the cafe area at the Corran Halls to run the Argyll Coffee Festival in conjunction with the Argyll Food Festival. And guess what? Entrance to the coffee festival is included with the entry fee to the food festival - which is just £3.50 for a day ticket.

We have so much fun stuff planned. Our Argyll coffee friends, Hinba Coffee Roasters, Isle of Bute Coffee, and Isle of Mull Coffee Roasters, will all be joining us for the weekend. We’ll each have a stand so come along and chat to us about our different coffees and what makes us all tick.

We'll be joined by guests from Adams Coffee Glasgow, Caribbean Goods, Mercanta The Coffee Hunters, Beinn an Tuirc Distillers, Us V Them, and Inge Bos Art, to bring you a packed programme of events and workshops. You'll have chance to learn how coffee is grown and roasted, sample coffees from different origins, enjoy coffee cocktails, have a go at perfecting your latte art, and even try your hand at painting with coffee!

Adams Coffee Glasgow will be running latte art experiences throughout the weekend and will be hosting the latte art throwdown on Sunday afternoon. Come and put your newly honed latte art skills to the test!

Javier from Caribbean Goods will be talking about Guatemala Speciality Coffee and will be leading a tasting session. Chloe from Mercanta will be leading a tasting on Sunday, giving you the chance to try speciality coffee from different origins.

Don’t miss our very own Michael who will be on the main stage on Saturday morning talking about his recent trip to Colombia. Then we’ll be doing a joint roasting session and cupping with Hinba. Mull Coffee Roasters will be doing a demo about cold brew and other cold coffees, while Bute Coffee Company are looking at coffee and collaboration. Saturday afternoon will finish with a coffee cocktail masterclass with Emma from Kintyre Gin. Expect espresso martinis and more.

Across the weekend Inge, our roastery assistant and artist, will be encouraging you to paint with coffee. And the coffee bar, sponsored by Us V Them, will be serving up silky smooth flat whites. Each coffee company has a slot on the coffee bar, so you can try out all the different beans. We’re super excited to have Ryan from Songbird Speciality Coffee manning the coffee bar on Sunday showcasing his his incredible barista skills.
