Kenya Ruera Natural
Nestled in the nutrient-rich, red soil and gentle slopes of Kiambu County, the 190 hectare Ruera Estate sits at just under 1,600 metres above sea level. This high altitude provides ideal conditions for the slow maturation of coffee cherries. The perfect conditions are complemented by sustainability through reforestation, energy conservation, proper waste disposal and soil erosion conservation, allowing the estate to produce high quality coffee whilst also preserving the future of the surrounding community and ecosystem. The result is an explosion of blackcurrant juiciness, with notes of black tea and citrus acicity.

Roasters Notes Kenya Ruera
This is our most fruit-forward offering in a while. The blackcurrant notes are right there up-front, but I'm also getting hints of strawberry jam, and some lemon zest acidity.
About Kenya
The Kenyan coffee industry is renowned for its investment in research, which has led to the development of a large number of experimental varieties, of which SL-28 and SL-34 are particularly valued for their high quality.

Since the 1950s, coffee has been grown both on large estates and on smallholdings which use local washing stations to process their crops. With Kenyan coffees, you can expect sweetness, intense acidity, and complex fruit flavours.
