Guatemala Finca Santa Ana
Tucked between the Tecuamburro and Pacaya volcanoes high on the slopes of the mountain of La Gavia, you’ll find Finca Santa Ana founded and lovingly nurtured, over thirty years, by Roberto Díaz Marroquin. During these years, he managed, prepared, planted, harvested and processed each one of the yearly crops, growing coffee varieties such as bourbon and catuaí, with native trees grown to shade the coffee plants. The combination of these elements, plus the quantity of rain, soil type, the altitude of the plantation, and the quality with which they handle their coffee, has brought international acclaim, with the farm participating in the Cup of Excellence, and making the finals for several years.

Roasters Notes Guatemala Finca Santa Ana
With high minerality and tonnes of juiciness, this beautiful example of Guatemalan coffee gently unfolds on your palette, revealing layer upon layer of flavour. I absolutely love it.
About Guatemala
Coffee took off in Guatemala in the 1850s, in the rush to find a new crop to replace the collapsing indigo trade. By 1880, it represented 90% of Guatemala’s exports, but wild growth resulted in the displacement of indigenous peoples, tipping the country into a civil war over issues related to land distribution, poverty, hunger and racism, which rumble on even now.

Today, the country ranks in the top 15 coffee producers, with Bourbon, Typical, Caturra and Catuai beans harvested between December and April.
