After months of rigorous testing throughout the summer, the judges chose 15 coffees from across the country to make it through to the finals. We were the only Scottish coffee roaster to make it onto the list. This morning the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners were announced ... and we scooped up Silver in the Coffee category.
It’s just amazing that our wee roastery out here in Tighnabruaich has been recognised in this way. We’re super proud to be flying the flag not just for Argyll, but for Scotland too! It shows the quality of artisan produce that is being made right here in Argyll.
The Great British Food Awards were launched in 2014 to celebrate the country's finest artisanal produce, as well as the hard-working people behind the scenes. The judging panel is made up of some of the UK's most acclaimed chefs, critics and influencers, including Raymond Blanc, Michel Roux Jr or Shaun Rankin.
Clyde Steamer is a seasonally-changing espresso blend. It is served up by many cafes and restaurants in Argyll and beyond, and is also available to buy online. Its name is a nod to the paddle steamers that used to bring holidaymakers ‘doon the watter’ to Argyll.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this epic coffee adventure so far.
