Kenya Priory Farm AA
This coffee was grown on Priory Farm, a family owned estate run by the Muge family. Situated on the slopes of Nandi Hills, between Kericho and Nandi County, the 60 acre farm benefits from a unique terroir characterised by extremely hot days and very chilly nights. This distinct climate is influenced by the breeze flowing from Koru Valley in Kericho County. Priory Farm is dedicated to cultivating the varieties Ruiru 11 and Batian, with Ruiru 11 covering 40 acres and Batian covering 20 acres. This Nandi County washed coffee is an exclusive offering for Omwani. The exceptional geographical conditions combined with the Muge family's dedicated agronomy practices contribute to the delectable profile of coffee produced at Priory Farm. The estate also prides itself on its own dry mill, making it one of the more unique operations in Kenya. It boasts unrivalled vertical integration and dedication to quality at all stages of the production process.

Roasters Notes Kenya Priory Farm AA
Most coffee in Kenyan is sold through auction, making sourcing transpareny really difficult. Lot 20 however is trying something new: exporting their coffee themselves. All Lot 20 coffees have limited releases since they are sourced from small micro-lots deemed to be exceptional examples of farming innovation that create unique flavour experiences.
About Kenya
The Kenyan coffee industry is renowned for its investment in research, which has led to the development of a large number of experimental varieties, of which SL-28 and SL-34 are particularly valued for their high quality.

Since the 1950s, coffee has been grown both on large estates and on smallholdings which use local washing stations to process their crops. With Kenyan coffees, you can expect sweetness, intense acidity, and complex fruit flavours.
